Description: For a better performance, always use Portable Winch Co. ropes with your winch. Its double-braided construction makes it durable and features low stretch for increased safety. Its low cost and resistance to abrasion make it a good choice for using with our capstan winches, where it is subject to friction and intense heat.

Details: Splices with galvanized steel thimbles provide protection against wear caused by carabiners, shackles and hooks attached at the end of the rope. In addition, a splice maintains almost 100% of the rope capacity, unlike a knot, which reduces its capacity by at least 30%.

Splices at both ends of the rope also allow it to be flipped over from time to time so it wears out evenly on its entire length.
